Yours Truly X Wet Dreams Recordings: Rosy Disposition EP

Location: Yours Truly Loop Street, Cape Town

Date: Friday, 8 September 2017
Time: 10PM – 1AM

Wet Dreams Recordings invites you to Yours Truly on Loop Street to join in celebrating the release of Rose Bonica’s Debut EP ‘Rosy Disposition’ with live sets from Jumping Back Slash, Markus Wormstorm, and Rose Bonica.

Cognac Fumes, hobnobbing, and pontifications of sound from some of the best producers South Africa has to offer.

Rose Bonica:

A producer in the time of DJ’s and cholera, Rose Bonica can be described as obsessive.
“She is the perfect blend of naïve creative freedom, what some may call a ‘natural’ but combined with a strict regimen of productivity or a process of creativity that can only be likened to a weapons factory in times of War.”

Markus Wormstorm

He has been called a ‘Techno Polymorph’ by Wire magazine and hailed as the ‘Godfather of South African Electro’ by IDJ magazine. He began releasing music internationally through New York based label Sound Ink at the age of 19. He has collaborated and remixed many artists including Waddy Jones (of Die Antwoord), MF Doom and Sibot and continues to release music through his Berlin based record label M=Maximal and will soon be released on New York based label Ralenteer Records.

Jumping Back Slash

Since moving to South Africa in 2007, Jumping Back Slash has put music out with labels like Pollinate, Loose Squares, Enchufada and Cotch International as well about 13 self-released EPs.
He has also worked as a producer/co-producer and mixing engineer for the likes of Spoek Mathambo, Loui Lvndn, Fantasma, and Batuk amongst others. His latest EP ‘Slow Oceans’ (out on Cotch International) features Nonku Phiri, Hlasko and Shane Cooper.

Wet Dreams Recordings is just a humble South African record label full of hungry musical outcasts trying to get a slice of that stale birthday cake we like to call the music industry.

The Rosy Disposition EP will be released and available for download on 8 September on Soundcloud & Bandcamp.
Special thanks to BIG SPACE (Executive Producer) and JBS Music Design for the mastering.

Event sound provided by SOUND SOUND

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
