This weekend, the countries premier techno festival, SpiltMilk returns for its third birthday celebration. This year, the festival will take place in the astronomic Techno Dome seen at the very first SpiltMilk and will be held at an impressive venue right here in town. Ahead of the weekend’s mega agenda, we’ve put together a go-to guide for your ultimate SpiltMilk 2018 experience – here’s everything you need to know.
SpiltMilk 2018 will take place in the heart of the Mother City at Green Point Stadium. The festival is celebrating its third year as South Africa’s premier techno festival. This year features a special and astronomical lineup and theme. Check out the festival and afterparty map below and make sure you know where to be.
This year also features the bespoke 1500 sqm TECHNO DOME. The festival grounds and the Dome will be transformed into an intergalactic space station. The dome will be equipped with FUNKTION ONE sound, a lunar landing module and state-of-the-art lighting and effects.
A powerful selection of sonic astronauts have been curated from around the country and abroad take over the Lunar Module in Techno Dome with special guest and headliner – Kevin De Vries closing festival off on what will be an unforgettable set! SpiltMilk 2018 will also feature a fully stocked bar, a variety of a delicious gourmet food stall and few signature favourites that have been brought back by popular demand such as the iconic Cereal Code, a bar filled with your favourite, delicious cereal from coco pops to rice crispies and more! The Arcade will also make a return among a few more surprises!
The festival will end at 00.00 on Sunday morning – instead of the usual 02.00 but fret not techno lover – the organisers have smashed together one mega Official after party Modular ft. a special guest headliner as well as another sister event at the participating club TAU. Every ticket issued is registered to a specific ticket holder. Your name will appear on your ticket and this must correspond to your official government issued I.D document (Driver’s license, I.D cards and passports will only be accepted).
The Fine Print
By Purchasing a Loyalty, Phase One or certain Ambassador tickets a second PlusOne ticket will have also been transferred to your PlusOne at no additional cost. PlusOne’s will have been registered at the time of the ticket purchase. PlusOne ticket holders will have been sent a confirmation email with a non-transferrable ticket. This PlusOne ticket is registered to the PlusOne only. The name of the ticket holder will appear on the ticket and the holder must present identification at the gate in order to be granted access. The ticket holders I.D document and the ticket must correspond in order to be granted access. NO I.D NO ENTRY. The same applies to the primary Loyalty and Phase One ticket holders. Tickets are NOT transferable so cannot be resold. The only exception is if the primary Loyalty or Phase One ticket and the additional PlusOne ticket related to the primary ticket have been erroneously registered in the same name. In which case the deadline for these PlusOne transfers is the Wednesday 22nd of August at 17:00.
The deadline for Phase 2 transfers is Wednesday 22nd of August at 17:00.
Once on sale Phase 3 Tickets are not transferable.
