You can now collect your new ID or passport at these 19 bank branches across South Africa

In an effort to reduce congestion at Home Affairs (finally) the Department has started implementing its new ID smartCard and passport collection points which will be located at various local bank branches across the country with the majority of the collection points being located in Johannesburg.

The new E-home affairs system will allow applicants to apply and pay for their new smartcards and passports online. Applicants can then collect their ID card or passport at either a Home Affairs department or one of the participating banks.

Once fully rolled out, the country will have 19 new collection points. Below listed are confirmed, upcoming points and well as collection points that are already operational. Read more on the latest local news right here.
