If you, like us, find it hard to believe it’s already been a year since the last Power Flower Picnic (and that mind-melting set from Daedelus), then despite how time flies, we bring tidings of wonderful wintery news. We have set the dates for the third installment of our spring session and as always have a weekend of wonder on its way to you, as we make our way back to the riverbank from the magical landscapes of Matjiesfontein.
As always it will be a weekend full of surprises and tasteful musical programming, with all the frills and thrills you have come to expect from a Wolfkop Weekender. Keep a close eye on the event page for updates and important information, but for the time being secure your spot and click attending/interested on our event page to keep up to date with developments as they go live. See you in the flowers!
Please note that we have moved the date from our usual last weekend of August to the second weekend of September, from Friday the 9th to Monday the 12th. We are excited to be, officially, of the Spring side of things!
Now that the bid for municipal office is behind us we thought we would release our own propaganda in an effort to snatch your attention, grab your votes and get you to join our party: The Wolfkop Weekender : Power Flower Picnic 2016 line-up in it’s entirety! We are pleased to welcome some exciting new faces and a few of the old regulars for a springtime soirée on 9/10/11 September:
We are thrilled to announce our headline acts for Power Flower Picnic 2016 (that’s right, plural!):
The second Canadian we will host this year, much like Frivolous we have secured an artist as unique in performance as he is with his production prowess. As the sun sets on Saturday afternoon expect the unexpected from a live performer and vocalist who has been a favourite pick of artists like Guy Gerber & Seth Troxler and labels as esteemed as RUMORS & Kompakt Records. Keep a close eye on the page and event as we reveal the genius that is Clarian North.
Pretoria’s favourite son, and one of South Africa’s busiest and most revered DJs. The rise of Clement Phaswane has been meteoric over the last few years, and tours both home and abroad have seen him garnering top billing at some of the country’s best clubs and festivals. With international releases on labels the likes of SEASONS RECORDINGS and Peppermint Jam Records, his signature sound takes cues from influences as wide ranging as jazz, kwaito and hip hop.
