Windows 95 Is Now Available as an App – Watch It in Action Right Here.

Get ready for some nostalgia this morning with the new Windows 95 app that will take you back all the way to the 90’s! Created by Slack developer, Felix Riesberg, the 129mb file can be downloaded from GitHub and is “compatible” with Windows, macOS, and Linux. The silly new app combines Electron with an existing x86 emulator written in JavaScript that can run a bunch of operating systems – for this app, it’s preloaded with Windows 95.

Although the app allows you to relieve your time spent on MS Paint and Solitaire, there are some features that don’t really work well like Internet Explorer. Riesberg admits that the app worked well “by accident and was mostly a joke”, while some critics are calling it piracy.
