Nothing but Trouble (NBT) is set to host a White Collar Boxing (WCB) event at the Cape Town City Hall on 28 March 2015 in support of the Pebbles Project charity. This glamorous and classic Gatsby-themed event will feature white collar boxing, great music, food stalls, speakeasies and banging baselines – all for a good cause.
White Collar Boxing originated in New York in the 1980’s and involves men and women white collar professionals who train to fight at special events. Despite the fact that the majority of contestants in this game have no prior boxing experience, they often undergo intensive training for up to three months before taking part in such an event. In addition, contestants are provided with full access to first class equipment, coaching and a referee to ensure the safety of each participant.
The NBT White Collar Boxing Event 2015 is brought to you by Cape Town’s Armoury Boxing Club. Twelve participants, eight male and six female, will take to the ring to battle it out in a Great Gatsby themed event in support of the Pebbles Project.

Pebbles Project is an NPO founded in 2005. It is located in the Stellenbosch area and specialises in enriching the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds with special educational needs, especially those whose lives are affected by alcohol.
The Cape Town City Hall will host this decadently hedonistic WCB event and will transport guests back to the year 1922 where handpicked boxers will battle their way to supremacy. Get ready to rumble in your finest attire, Great Gatsby-style. The very best music, speakeasies, banging baselines and a selection of Cape Town’s best food stalls will have you entertained until the early hours.
According to NBT, “White Collar Boxing strives to help those less fortunate than us. We take a hit and they get some food. Come join us from 6pm-4am on 28 March 2015 at the Cape Town City Hall and embark on a memorable night of great fun, all in the name of charity”.
Nothing But Trouble White Collar Boxing’s event is a fast growing amateur sporting event in support of various charities.
