After the fantastic feedback we got from you after re-sharing the 90’s Rave Scene by Beckett’s Trek yesterday, we decided to dig a little deeper and see what else was going on during that time.
If you were growing up during this period, you’d know it was a time that Apartheid was ending, South Africans were coming out and venues, events and clubs were bringing people together in their numbers.
This 25-minute episode gives you a closer look at the Alternative music scene and lifestyle surrounding some of the organizers, bands and club owners of the day.
We’d love to see where the scene is now and how it’s progressed or how it’s shortfalls played a part in its slow demise. It would be very interesting to see how much things have changed over the past 20 to 30 years. Wouldn’t you agree?
