We House Sundays to host ‘block-party-style’ festival in celebration of their 5th birthday

Cape Town’s leading House Music collective, We House Sundays are celebrating their fifth birthday this year. In honour of this fantastic music event concept, WHS will host a one-day, ‘Block-Party-style’ festival at Transvaal Park, Paarden Eiland on 15 March.

After the success of WHS’ first-ever two-day outdoor music festival in December, the organisers return with yet another outdoor offering. The venue is perfectly situated in the industrial hub of Paarden Eiland – an atmosphere Sunday People have come to love. But this time organisers are taking the pumping, sweaty, all-smiles warehouse pleasures outside to the park. Think old-school block party, where WHS family and fans can congregate and enjoy the fruition of five years of soul-touching music.

WHS Festival shows how music can bring us all together from different circumstances and provide a release through sound, mouth-watering food and good intentions by fellow dancers.” – WHS Organisers

WHS’ fifth birthday festival will feature a line-up of homegrown talent such as Judy Jay (JHB), JAY ME (CPT), WHS resident DJ’s as well as two exciting international DJs – to be announced soon. As always, there’ll be amazing food trucks to keep festival-goers nourished throughout the day. Drinks can be purchased at the on-site bar while attendees are also allowed to bring picnic blankets as the grass is lush and green, perfect for a breather under the sun.
