The Wavescape Art Board Project has been raising awareness and funds for ocean charities since 2005. Each year, we invite artists to turn surfboards into works of art for an exhibition that ends with an auction that has taken place in art galleries, cafes and studio spaces.

Surf Board Shape
All nine boards are based on the Fish surfboard shape, a shorter, wider craft with a fish-like tail. Thank you to lifestyle surf shop & Craig Paul for the epic boards.
Boards on show at Tiger’s Milk, Muizenberg from Monday 23 November to Tuesday 1 December, 9am till late.
Rob Van Vuuren will auction the boards at Tiger’s Milk during an evening of fund-raising and comedy on Tuesday 1st December from 7 to 9.30pm.
Since 2005, we donate proceeds of the auction to the N.S.R.I and Shark Spotters, and are happy to report that we helped fund several NSRI boats and helped the Shark Spotters keep surfers and sharks in mostly harmonious co-habitation. We also support the Waves for Change trauma programme and new addition The Little Optimist, which raises funds and awareness for the Children’s Hospital Trust.
