The first trailer for Showtime’s four-part docuseries titled ‘Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men’ has been released. The first two episodes premiered at Sundance Film Festival yesterday while the entire documentary will air on Showtime on later this year.
The series is directed by Sacha Jenkins (BURN MOTHERF*CKER, BURN!) and according to Showtime, the four-part doc transcends the music documentary genre by including stark socio-cultural commentary and intimate family portraits of the members of Wu-Tang. ‘Of Mics and Men’ also features never-before-seen interviews with Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Method Man.
The trailer below includes footage from Wu Tang’s hometown, Staten Island, footage of the members’ childhoods, documentation of their rise to fame and more.
