Last weekend, during a 20th-anniversary celebration for the 1999 hit film ‘Human Traffic,’ writer and director Justin Kerrigan, announced that the 90’s classic would finally be getting a sequel.
The original film [shown in the trailer below] followed a group of friends over the course of a drug-fuelled weekend in Cardiff, UK and starred Danny Dyer, John Simm, Lorraine Pilkington, Shaun Parkes and Nicola Reynolds.
The follow-up film, ‘Human Traffic: The Revolution‘ will reportedly be a response to Brexit, “Human Traffic 2 is a reaction to Brexit. It’s about everyone coming together as one race – the human race,” Kerrigan told Mixmag in an interview, “it’s a comedy about the rave generation set over a weekend in Cardiff, London and Ibiza.”
Kerrigan also confirmed in his interview with Mixmag that a script for the project had already been written. Watch the announcement below and follow Human Traffic: The Revolution on Facebook for updates.
