Red Bull Surfing recently uploaded a new video to their YouTube channel titled ‘Made In South Africa, Ep1.’ The remarkably shot 15-minute episode sees filmmaker Jason Hearn exploring the rich, diverse surfing possibilities of his home – Cape Town, South Africa.

The crew go for a high-octane free surf with local boy Mikey February, and Jordy Smith and then head over to one of the world’s best big wave breaks, ‘Dungeons’, for a rare summer session with Frank Solomon, Josh Redman, Matt Bromley, and Dale Staples.

Hearn came up with the idea of unpacking the rich and complex history of surfing in his home country for a new instalment of Red Bull’s ‘Made In.’ After months of filming with some of South Africa’s most legendary surfers, Hearn has produced a truly special film below.

Episode 2, which will be released next week, sees Hearn travel up to Durban for an unforgettable profile of the rough and tough crew of Cave Rock. Don’t miss it, subscribe to Red Bull Surfing right here.
