We all remember the experiment from our school science text books and Brian Cox from BBC decided that it was finally time to see if it was all true as theorised. He visited the NASA Space Simulation Chamber at Space Power Facility in Ohio to see if a feather and bowling ball would hit the ground at the same time if dropped from the same height while in a vacuum. For those that skipped science – objects dropped in a vacuum should fall towards the floor at the same speed due gravity, which is constant (there are no other factors like wind that would affect the fall).
You’ve read about it in books, but now is your chance to confirm that what you were taught is really the case. Mega cool!
