Truth’s 14th Birthday feat. Stimming (Diynamic | Germany) Saturday 30 November 2013

Truth Birthday

I can barely believe it, Truth is celebrating its 14th birthday this weekend with a very special event featuring International house music beat maker and tune dropper, Stimming.

Over the past 14 years (longer than some of you have been around) Truth Nightclub has become an institution of dance music culture and celebration, with its walls having been graced by only the biggest names in the global industry.

Truth’s annual birthday celebration is a highlight on the clubbing calendar and this year is no exception – this Saturday the club presents four top-rated international acts – Stimming (Germany), Mark Menning (UK), Kreature (UK) and Dutch trance DJ/producer Jacob van Hage who will play alongside 20 of the country’s top DJs and dance acts on Truth’s four floors.

Over the years, Truth has hosted some of the world’s most cutting-edge electronic artists including Richie Hawtin, Tiefschwarz, Pleasurekraft, Edu Imbernon, Yousef, Lee Burridge, Silicone Soul, Edu Sister Bliss, Wally Lopez, Conrad Black, Cosmic Gate, Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Style of Eye are only a few names on a long list of acts who have thrilled Truth’s devoted clubbing contingent over the years.

South Africa’s acid house scene took root in the late 80’s and by 1999 dance music had blossomed into a vibrant local scene. It was at this time that Truth opened its doors. Pretoria’s old snake park— a vast venue with both outdoor and indoor spaces provided the perfect framework for a multi-floor nightclub. The space was transformed into the nocturnal playground of electronic music its known and loved as today.
