Earlier this year, Activision announced the remastering and release date of Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 and 2. Hawk himself and Vicarious Visions – the studio behind Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – joined forces to reimagine a classic. THPS 1 and 2 features most of the original soundtrack, the same stages, some new tricks, and more robust character and skatepark creation tools.

Dropping in on September 4, 2020, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 is set to bring back original levels, pro skaters, tricks, modes, and songs from the iconic soundtrack, as well as amp up the experience with new ways to play including online Multiplayer.

Fans were thrilled with the news, but they have even more to look forward to – a brand new documentary titled ‘Pretending I’m A Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story.’

The film is created by Neversoft game producer Ralph D’Amato and director Ludvig Gür and will feature interviews with Tony Hawk himself as well as other skating legends and the original developers of the cult game.

Pretending I’m A Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story will focus on the early days of Tony Hawk Pro Skater and how it came to define skateboarding across multiple generations – and how it still shapes the scene today.

While the film premiered in February and signed a distribution deal, no official release date for the public as been announced yet, but you can keep an eye on the film’s official site.
