“So derp, who are DUBSIDIA?”
The summer of 1798, two elderly English musicians and farmers called Daisuke (大 辅) Lekker and Yu (ゆう) Benson (they are Japanese descent). They fell unconscious touching a magnet stone semicircle shaped where they could read something set in stone: “Subsidy for you ” (Then possibly the stone was a payment of any owner to the church). And they had a strange dream, where they could see and hear the future of centuries later.
Within the dream, they were able to attend many events, but the people of his era didnt believe them. They were delighted with the electronic music. and they tried to imitate the music they heard in their dream, but maybe the sounds were too advanced for the era they lived, so the people labeled them insanes
The twenty-first century, a weekend in the mountains, 2 electronic music producers found that magnetic stone , they could see the future culture. and now they reflect these influences in their futuristic productions, under the name of DUBSIDIA producing Dubstep, Electro and Drum and Bass
Dubsidia make music for DJs and dance-floors that is interesting enough to cross over from the clubs to your MP3 player
Dubsidia is being supported by Skrillex, Dirtyloud, Downlink, Miles Dyson, Excision, Reid Speed, Tim Healey, Funtcase, Pixel Fist, Trolley Snatcha, Oblivion…
WHO IS NISKERONE?
Hailing from the dusty streets of Mitchell’s Plain in the heart of the notorious Cape Flats, the ‘king of the underground Drum & Bass jungle’, NISKERONE’s energetic and innovative style of mixing has entertained crowds at festivals and on dance floors around the world.
The man behind ‘It Came From The Jungle’, NISKERONE started this weekly residency at Fiction DJ Bar in May 2006 after identifying a need in Cape Town for a Drum & Bass night that catered to the lighter side of the genre. Aside from pleasing hundreds of revelers each week, it also secured him slots alongside industry leaders such as Pendulum, Busta Rhymes, The Bloody Beetroots, DJ Fresh (UK), Dieselboy, Sigma, Cutline, and many more.
In 2010, NISKERONE took his energetic live sets to the crowds of Europe where he performed in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Sweden, as well as at Spain’s renowned 40 000 strong Monegros Desert Festival.
In 2011 he was invited back to the Monegros Festival to share the stage and billing with David Guetta, Rusko, Boys Noize, Carl Cox, Steve Aoki, Dirtyphonics and many others.
Locally, NISKERONE has received headline status at nearly every major festival including Rocking The Daisies, Earthdance, Synergy, Rezonance and RAMFest in 2010, and OppiKoppi, Earthdance, Synergy, Rezonance and RAMFest in 2011.
NISKERONE in 2012:
Besides tearing up dance floors in clubs across South Africa on a weekly basis and creating mayhem on festival stages, It Came From The Jungle will relaunch in April and return for the sixth year to its legendary weekly slot at Fiction in Cape Town. NISKERONE will also return to his monthly residency at Origin in Durban. He is also planning to take It Came From The Jungle across South Africa three times a year, with performances in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Pretoria.
NISKERONE is also set to tour to USA for the first time in May/June this year, and will return to Europe in July for another tour.
