One of the largest homes ever built in LA’s Hollywood Hills has just been put on up for sale for $43.9 million – roughly R600 million.

The 6,000 square metre mansion was designed by Cape Town-based architecture firm SAOTA. The incredible home in The Hills is fully decked out with a glass elevator, wine cellar, movie theatre and a 12-car underground garage. The outdoor living space features a 5-metre long outdoor television, which is visible from every room in the house and also has a 53-metre long swimming pool and waterfall which cascades into an atrium garden. There’s even a spa retreat complete with a wet and dry sauna.

Conceived as an oasis in the sky, the home is designed to function as a self-contained resort with living rooms connected to extensive covered outdoor terraces enclosed by a pool and set in lush landscaping.” – SAOTA

What’s more exciting is that SAOTA‘s incredible piece of architecture featured on the hit-series Selling Sunset on Netflix earlier this year as the prize property. Selling Sunset follows a group of estate agents who compete to sell high-end properties in Los Angeles.

Take a look at the tour of the mansion below, which is still currently undergoing work. Video by Graham Stephan on Youtube.
