#ThePantoneProject matches real life photographs with Pantones (Design Porn Alert!)

Over the past couple of years, working closely with designers on day to day projects has developed my taste for design and colour – I can appreciate a good use the Pantone colour for the season when I see one. Chicago-based photographer and storyteller Paul Octavious has just embarked on a rather interesting mission that involves matching all of the Pantone colours to everyday occurences in real life. For those who aren’t in the know, The Pantone Color Matching System is the industry standard color matching system and is used by manufacturers and designers around the World when using colour in various applications.

It really is one of the most fascinating art projects that I’ve come across and it really does deserve the acclaim that it has started to get from various sources around the globe. There are a few examples of the art series below and you can follow the journey on Instagram as well.
