The well known Rise & Shine Festival returns to Sandton Central Park on Saturday 22 August 2015 – much to the excitement of those of us who are fans of drinking in the outdoors during the day, while being well catered for in terms of both food and music.
The line-up includes BOO!, Bye Beneco, Go Barefoot, Float Parade, Mr. Cat & the Jackal, New Academics, Sutherland and The Urban Village.
Gates open bright and early at 8am. The Yogi, Karen, will host a light Yoga session on the lawn at 9am, before a full day of music, food, nature and friends. Delicious cuisine will be provided by a number of high-end food stalls curated from the top food & design markets. The fully stocked bar which will keep festival-goers hydrated and refreshed throughout the day includes a variety of craft options, an Obikwa Wine Bar, a cordial bar and fresh coconuts.
Sandton Central Park is on the corner of Grayston & Sandton Drives, with the entrance to the Park on 5th Street. It is a short 2km tuk-tuk ride from Sandton’s Gautrain Station – a great eco-friendly way to arrive. Parking is available at Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton City for a flat fee of R10.
Rise & Shine Festival would like to welcome our new eco-partner Green Beings to our festive family. With Greenbeings we will plant 1 tree for every 50 people who attend the event as well as initiating various other sustainability practices in Cosmo City. The festival has raised over 300 trees since its inception, resulting in a Green Footprint.
Rise & Shine Festival is presented in association with Obikwa Wines & Johannesburg City Parks.
