Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…

  1. So many internationals say South Africa has some of the best DJs in the world. Fresh, Euphonik, Vinny, Kent… The list is a long talented one! Pity they haven’t made the list yet, but it’s coming!

    1. Jason: our time will come… It is wierd that a group like Goldfish isnt up there on that list, AT ALL? Goldfish are South Africa’s finest music export… I do agree though, our time will come. We are becoming recognised more and more as a nation that likes to party and more and more DJ’s are making there way down here… Can you blame them?

  2. Nice to see the old school Judge and Cox there in top 25! Ahhh Yeah! Love the early 90’s reminiscing!
Swedish house, nice! gotta say I love that tune they have done with Tinie Tempah!

    1. My immediate reaction was a slight vomit in my mouth, when I saw that. DISGUSTING!

      He isnt even a DJ!

  3. Wowzers- 4 of the top ten djs in South Africa over the next 6 months- yay!!! Cape Town the next Ibiza??? yessss please!!

    Nice find Halo Boys!!! 🙂

  4. David Guetta is GAY! I have to say it would be nice to see some new guys get in the top 5… How do they choose? does the world vote?

    1. Think there are votes (world wide) and then there is a judging panel.

There are so many better DJ’s out there who should be higher than him. He sucks and because he went main stream he got a whole new following, hence millions more votes! Shocking, SHOCKING.. S.H.O.C.K.I.N.G! Maybe I just really hate the guy a lot…

Someone like Wolfgang Gartner (number 70) and Justice (99) and Bloodbeet Roots (78) who are all electro masters are sitting way to far down for my liking… FAR TO FAR DOWN!!!

  5. Actually 6 of the top 12 will be in SA in the next few months… and we still don’t know who is coming out for ASOT500 next year with Armin (holding thumbs for Gareth Emery).

We have Marco V, Sander van Doorn and First State this weekend.
Above and Beyond on 19/20 Nov.
Markus Schulz, ATB and Monika Kruse on 27 Nov.
Ferry Corsten, Richard Durand, Andy Duguid and Julie Thompson 11/12/13 Dec.

Then next year, Armin is bringing ASOT500 in March (along with other artists).
There are also PvD rumours floating about for January but nothing confirmed.

    1. and more rumours floating around that Deadmua5 is also here in February, March next year. Crisis, ASOT 500 is going to be phenomenal!

I am so much more than happy right now at the explosion of the South Africa party scene. They have finally realised that this (Cape Town) is the next Ibiza.. Bring on the internationals! 🙂

    2. Hey Rory, read your post now 🙂
What you referring to about Ferry Corsten, Richard Durand etc on the 11/12 & 13th of December?
Is there another party I’m not aware of…??

    3. Howzit,

are all your dates correct and confirmed (referring particularly to ATB and markus)

i have check both their sites and theres no information about it

      1. 100% correct Asher… Go to Smirnoff SA on facebook and hit the Nightlife Exchange tab at the top of their fan page. This will tell YOU everything you need to know…

    4. Rory, are you seriaaas….??? Markus Schulz on the 27th of November…??? Who is bringing them out, do you know? Haven’t heard or read any media reports/advertising about this one yet.

      1. @ Maureen
Yeah, he’s serious! Markus Schulz on 27 November in Cape Town – with the Smirnoff Night Exchange project event

            1. Take a look at what I said below and follow that and you will find out everything!!! 🙂

Tickets arent for sale, only available through the Nightlife Exchange tab on the Smirnoff SA fan page

  6. Ok, managed to find the details with regards to party happening in Desember with Ferry Corsten & Richard Durand.
Seems like we’re going to be rather poor the next couple of months with all these parties!!!
Finally, more & more international DJ’s coming to SA

    1. Yah Rory letting cats out bags hey- its part of the Black hole tour… Ferry is going to damage people! 🙂

      1. I agree! Gona be an awesome couple of months
Damage to the cash flow, but hey – all in the name of Trance & Dance 🙂

  7. I really hope these results aren’t correct. We all knew that Armin was gonna win….again :(. 4 years in a row, beating Tiesto’s record of 3 years in a row, but I guess that’s life ? I just can’t understand how David Guetta can still be up there……
