While Game of Thrones may be coming to an end, fans can at least look forward to HBO’s GOT documentary titled ‘The Last Watch’ which will air shortly after the end of series next week. ‘The Last Watch’ will chronicle the entire making of one of the most succesful series of all time. The network released a trailer for the documentary this week, which you can watch here.
Another reason for fans to be excited is that a handful of spin-offs are currently in the works like the prequel, ‘Bloodmoon’ [a working title] which officially began filming this week. While we don’t have a release date yet, the actors have been cast and a pilot is currently being shot. ‘Bloodmoon’ will star Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse alongside; Jamie Campbell Bower (Harry Potter), Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia) and Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter).

The prequel will reportedly go back thousands of years before the ‘The Song of Ice and Fire’ story, to a time when the world descends from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour.
For those who have not read the books, The Age of Heroes is the era where the First Men and the Children of the Forest forged a peace pact. This era began 10,000 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
