THE BIG WEEKEND – Part 2
The Big Weekend is back in 2016 and boasts a larger than life line-up who’ll take you on a crazy ride for the whole weekend!
Headliners: ROBOSONIC (Berlin)
We all know that not everyone understands house music but even Jack himself couldn’t have wished for a more spiritual, body & soul shakin’ duo to spread the word. You don‘t exactly have to dive into Robosonic’s numerous releases to instantly hear that the classic house music template – laid down all those years ago in Chicago & New York – was always the most popular game for this Berlin based duo.
Following their Beatport Deep House chart toppers “Worst Love” and “The Edge” Robosonic cemented their place as front runners on theinternational house scene. They’ve been hard at work in the studio ever since, squeezing more groove out of their tracks than an industrial juicer. Those tracks propelled the boys into a string of high profile releases and collaborations that hasn’t let up since.
It’s no surprise that they‘ve built a true fan base stretching far & wide to every corner of the globe, as they play every weekend relentlessly: within one month, they may DJ in Paris, London, Dubai, Moscow, Berlin, Basel, Bogotà, Bangkok, Mexico City – spreading their good vibes & a message of love.
Headliners: SHAPELESS (Brazil)
Music has always been present in the life of Edson & Romulo – a duo born in Belo Horizonte – a metropolis in the Southeast of Brazil. Mixing styles and deconstructing musical patterns is the basis for this collaborative project & as Shapeless they’re conquering Brazil’s massive dance scene.
The pair take inspiration from a diverse range of sources: Edson started his career in electro house two years ago & has shifted his focus to progressive trance producing under the ‘Lighters’ moniker. Romulo started drumming as a teenager before moving behind the decks and into the studio as ‘Groovaholik’.
It’s this unique collision of styles that’s made the pair a firm fixture in Brazil’s thriving scene – where they’ve played countless clubs & festivals including Tommorrowland, Budah Tech and many more.
