MIX n BLEND:

Mix n Blend are here to bring the noise. Consisting of the one of the baddest horn sections in South Africa in the form of Ross McDonald and Lee Thomson from seminal punk band Hog Hoggidy Hog (also doubling here on keys and guitar), cutting edge visuals supplied by Inka Kendzia of Krushed & Sorted fame, live samplers and effects controlled by Jon Arnold and Kevin Ribbans, and fronted by EJ von Lyrik.

Expect everything from easy skanking reggae, glitch’d beats, Drum n Bass to face melting dubstep from this double SAMA nominated act. The 6 Piece act will merge electronic music with the traditional band setup to bring you through a journey of sound that will make your feet stomp and your head bounce.

Playing major festivals all over South Africa, they’ve brought a new edge to live dance music and with large amount of energy and presence on stage they are an act not to be missed!

MARKUS WORMSTORM:

There is more to Markus than just a strange surname. To date Markus has performed around the world with different musical acts, at events like Sonar and various others. He has spoken at international festivals, he has published books, and together with the Blackheart gang, exhibited his work internationally.

ISH:

Born and raised in a rasta yard in Brixton (London), ISH went to her first sound system in a pram.

Big sound and warm bass became an addiction at an early age and didn’t budge when ISH moved to Cape Town 5 years ago. Along with DJs Funfafuji, Blotchy, Binary and Fletcher, ISH decided to get the Dubstep movement rolling in SA.

South Africa’s Premier Dubstep night Step Up was born. 3 years on Step Up thrives, hosting international acts such as LV and Oneman. With an eclectic sound ranging from straight up Reggae to funky 2step riddims and of course that deep dubstep sound, ISH strives to keep the dance floor alive and the bass lines thumping.

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
