It’s on to the Playoffs of Super Rugby with the Stormers, Chiefs, Reds, Crusaders, Sharks and Bulls all still in the running.
This week see’s the Bulls and Sharks attempt to secure a spot in the semi-finals when they travel to take on the Crusaders and Reds respectively.
The bookie isn’t giving the Bulle much of a chance of winning, and justifiably so given the Crusaders incredible home record and their ability to perform when it matters in Super Rugby. You aren’t going to pick up much on a Crusaders win so perhaps the handicap is the way for you to go this week. Do you think the Crusaders can open up a winning margin of more than 11 points?
The Sharks face an easier challenge, taking on the Reds who will be keen to defend their title. The Reds came out of nowhere to win the Australian Conference whilst the Sharks themselves have also had a rather turbulent season. Notable absentees this weekend include Pat Lambie and Frans Steyn for the Sharks as well as Quade Cooper for the Reds. The bookie is siding with the Reds and for me this means value on the Sharks to win at 7/4.
As a patriotic South African I have also put together a little double with the Bulls to lose by less than 11 points and the Sharks to win. This pays out just over 4/1 so I’m gonna turn my R100 into R525. Perhaps not the wisest bet but I’ll keep an eye on the games LIVE in:play so I can make sure I don’t lose too much.
I had a chat with Tank Lanning from @FrontRowGrunt and we also discussed the potential Finalists and Outright Winner so check it out!
