Literally every single one of the staffers here at MyCityByNight is a huge Stranger Things fan, so you can imagine that very little work got done after we came across the latest tidbit from the show producer about the theme of season 3. The series producer, Shawn Levy spilled the beans whilst at the Los Angeles PaleyFest last weekend. Here’s what he had to say:
The series will be set in the summer of 1985, roughly one year after the events of season 2.
Mike and Eleven are making a go of it, as are Lucas and Max.
Back To The Future is going to be a major reference point to the series.
We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three.
I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve.
This is the best news ever – we were all starting to crush on Steve pretty hard and are more than stoked that we’re going to see more of him in Stranger Things 3. Now we wait…
