STFD presents Stelth Ulvang (The Lumineers) and Jon Shaban

sit-down

The STFD crew’s second show for 2017 features a very special artist. Not only is Stelth Ulvang an international touring artist who plays multiple instruments and creates a very unique brand of folk music, he was also the artist that kicked our asses into organizing their first ever Sit the Folk Down show.

Stelth has traversed the world plenty of times as a member of the popular indie folk band, The Lumineers but has also worked extremely hard at spreading his own music to the various corners of the globe. After a succesful tour to SA in 2014, Stelth has decided to return for just a handful of special shows. Joining him for this show will be our own Jon Shaban. The two spent some time together in 2014 where they collaborated and Stelth played accordion both live and on recordings with The Shabs. Expect some collaborations for this event too.

They’re doing things slightly differently for this show. The venue is a secret. Tickets are only available online and are VERY limited. Once you have bought your ticket, you will be sent an address for a meeting point and time on the day of the event (the most we can tell you is that it’s on the Atlantic Seaboard/Hout Bay side). From the meeting point, you will be transported to the venue. Tickets are only R250. You are encouraged to please bring your own drinks and food and everything you need to eat, drink and keep them cold.

This is a great opportunity to see and rub shoulders with an amazing international artist performing in one of the most intimate settings you could imagine.

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
