South African electronic music producer, composer and sound designer, Zain Wolf (also known as Phizicist and one half of the dreamy duo Hawkword) dropped a brand new track last month titled ‘Grudges.’
The Pretoria-raised, Cape Town-based artist has amassed an impressive body of new work over the past year from a slew of new singles and remixes to two new EPs, as well as sound design for an array of commercial brands.
Wolf’s latest track Grudges follows two solo EPs released in 2020. The first, titled ‘Therapy’ was released late last year. Initially shared as a compilation of existing tracks and a new single, ‘Therapy’ eventually went on to be released as an EP on September 4th. The five-track offering explores themes surrounding the hardship and turbulence of dealing with depression and anxiety and features guest artists such as KAGE and Pensive, as well as Wolf’s alter-artist Phizicist on the popular track, ‘Stages Of Depression.’ Listen to Therapy EP here.
Prior to Therapy, Wolf released the EP, ‘Service Industry,’ on Saturate Records which you can listen to, right here.
Wolf’s latest, ‘DnBesque’ track Grudges is an unpredictable audio adventure with basslines that’ll have you bouncing in your seat. The track delivers his signature, experimental approach to production that fans have to come love – an approach that always seems to produce something completely unheard-of and totally unique.
