Just when we all started to get used to calling Snoop Dogg by his Rastafari moniker, Snoop Lion – the man behind gin and juice has decided to change his name once again.
For the foreseeable future, Snoop would like us all to refer to him as Snoopzilla. The name stems from a new collaborative project with modern funk musician/producer DāM-Funk, which will see a brand new Snoop album being released later this year on December 10 called “7 Days A Funk”.
Here’s what Snoopzilla had to say about the co-lab:
“We’re the babies of the Mothership. I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dâm-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.”
I don’t know Snoop – maybe you should go a little easier on the dubie. Check out the first single – “Faden Away” by following this iTunes link
