The Jozi based trio, Shadowclub who have just won the title of “Best Rock” at the Annual MTN SA Music Awards this year- will be the main act performing live on Saturday, May 19th at Live-The Venue on 166 Mathews Meyiwa Road (former Stamfordhill Road) in Morningside.
Supporting local acts include, Southern Gypsy Queen who is known for their raw, edgy rock sound, three albums namely “Sweet Voodoo”, “Rise Up” and “Be the Lion” and presence at major music festivals including OppiKoppi, Splashy Fen, KKNK and OppiAarde; and The Cheap Bad Habits, a band from Durban who has played at Live-The Venue previously, with their rare blend of outlaw blues and classic high-voltage rock ‘n roll sound.
Tickets cost R60 per person and are available at the door on the night. Doors open at 20h00.
Dress like a hipster, you’ll probably be judged less.
