Samsung’s new TV packaging can be upcycled into stylish cat houses, coffee tables and more


In an effort to limit waste and encourage ‘upcycling’, Samsung has introduced new packaging for its line of luxury TVs. The new biodegradable boxes can transform into an into useful household items like cat houses, magazine and book holders, entertainment centres, shelves, and even tables.

Samsung’s new packing comes with some of the brand’s luxury TVs including The Serif, The Frame, and The Sero. According to Business Insider, the boxes come”dotted with a matrix design that customers can cut along in order to dismantle them for easier recycling or to reconfigure them for a new purpose.”

Each box also comes with an instruction manual on how to make your own shelves, or customers can simply scan the QR code on the box to access an entire ‘build manual.’
