Saggy Stone brewery -Robertson’s first beer brewing farm- is the 2007 brainchild of brothers Adrian and Phillip Robinson. A baker, his brother, and a Jacuzzi were all that was needed to conceptualize their dream. They took a fruit and wine farm and turned it into the home of a hearty beer and its crafty brewpub and restaurant.
This year, however, is special. For the first time ever Saggy Stone brewery opens its doors to host some of South Africa’s finest bands at its very first Beer and Music Festival. Being a festival that values and celebrates the authenticity of instrumental musicians, you simply can’t deny the 5-star line up they have secured: Al Bairre, The Kiffness, Nomadic Orchestra, Mathew Mole, GoodLuck, Majozi and more.
This festival is set to take place in the breathtaking backdrop of the Langeberg mountains, west of Robertson and is a festival for lovers of fine authentic South African tunes, and of course, lovers of finely curated and crafted beer. A festival suited for both the young and mature, Saggy Stone strives to provide its attendees with and intimate and rich gathering so tickets are limited to 2000 festival goers only. Early bird tickets start at an awesome R 165 and it should be noted that there are additional camping options available. Keep your eyes peeled for more Saggy Stone content to come on MyCityByNight.
