ROCKING THE DAISIES ANNOUNCES CROOKERS AND BETOKO AT THE #RTD2015! (Porter Robinson and Vintage Culture cancel performances).

Porter Robinson and Vintage Culture will no longer be heading to Rocking the Daisies 2015. The team at RTD are very disappointed by the news that these two anticipated acts are no longer able to join all of us as we celebrate a #DecadeOfDaisies.

Porter Robinson’s management has released an official statement regarding the matter, which reads as follows:

“Porter Robinson regrets to announce that due to an unforeseen familial obligation he will no longer be able to join his South African fans at Rocking the Daisies. This decision was not taken lightly and he apologizes for disappointing his fans.”

Vintage Culture has released an official statement regarding the matter, which reads as follows:

“I have received an opportunity to perform at one of my home country’s most respected events, as a young producer it was always my dream to have an opportunity of this nature and it was a difficult decision that has left me torn. I know I will have another chance to play for my South African fans again soon and I apologize for not making it to this beautiful festival.”

These circumstances were unfortunately out of Rocking the Daisies hands, however they’ve gone on to replace them with two fantastic international acts.

RTD are excited to announce that Crookers and Betoko have joined the #RTD2015 lineup, forming part of our biggest international artist offerings to date! Crookers will be setting the #HuaweiCultureClub Electronic Dome ablaze and Betoko will be heating up the Caribbean Twist Beach Bar!

Hailing from the Alps and now living in a small and peaceful community in Switzerland, Crookers is set to bring a whole lot of the opposite to the stage. Expect chaotic, brazen and in-your-face explosiveness, with a sound that embodies house, rap and weird – the world-recognized and signature Crookers sound. Prepare for a major head rush as he drops a series of body-jerking beats, coupled with enough bass to make your head explode!

Mexican-born Betoko moved to London in 2002, where he discovered a passion for electronic music, immersed deep in the city’s famous scene. Before hooking up with the much-lauded Wow! Records – a label run by Amnesia Ibiza legend Mar T, early releases from Betoko showed the man to have his own distinctive approach to the genre, joining the dots between tech, minimal, hip hop and house music with great style.
