Sandton’s favourite eco-friendly music festival returns to Sandton Central Park next month. Nokia Rise & Shine, in association with Obikwa Wines & Johannesburg City Parks, plant 1 tree for every 50 people who attend, which makes this a really good reason to get out and about. The event has raised 227 trees since its inception, resulting in a Green Footprint.
Gates open bright and early at 8am and there will be a Yogi, by the name of Karen, hosting a light Yoga session on the lawn at 9am, before a full day of music, food, nature and friends. So hipster you’d swear it was Cape Town 🙂
Delicious cuisine will be provided by a number of high-end vendors sourced from the top food & design markets. Sandton Central Park is on the corner of Grayston & Sandton Drives, with the entrance to the Park on 5th Street. It is a short 2km tuk-tuk ride from Sandton’s Gautrain Station – a great eco-friendly way to arrive. Parking is available at Nelson Mandela Square and Sandton City for a flat fee of R10.
