If you’re more of an outdoorsy person, why not think about getting down to the Cradle of Humankind at NIROX Sculpture Park to hear some of the greatest songs of our time performed live by some rad local artists including Some Grow Young, Nakhane Touré, Lucy Kruger,Naming James, Gareth Wilson & Southern Wild.
RETROFEST#3 features a selection of South Africa’s finest original acoustic musicians performing their renditions of the most influential songs from the 1960s & 1970s – a time when Music changed the World.Headlining the festival is legendary American singer-songwriter Shawn Phillips who will be performing his own original compositions from that era by artists like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, Nina Simone, Otis Redding, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and more will be brought to life in the outdoor amphitheater.
Cuisine will be courtesy of The Epicurian Emporium: a collective of high-end food stalls from the burgeoning food & design markets in and around Jozi, with emphasis on naturally and locally-sourced options.
