On Saturday 29 October RETROFEST returns with a 5th edition constructed around one of the most musically influential eras in global music history. A collection of South Africa’s finest original acoustic artists will present their interpretations of the greatest retro songs from the 1960s & 1970s, including generation-defining artists such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Rodriguez, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Nina Simone, The Rolling Stones and more.
The artist line-up includes Josie Field & Laurie Levine, Adelle Nqeto, The Plastics, Ruby Gill, Shotgun Tori, Nokota, The Rocketeers and Some Grow Young.
Epic festival cuisine will be on offer courtesy of the Epicurean Emporium – a selection of high-end food retailers. A fully-stocked bar including craft beer, champagne, fresh coconuts and cocktails will keep concert-goers refreshed and hydrated throughout the day. Guests are invited to tour the Sculpture Park as gates open at 10am, with the musical programme beginning at 11am.
