I have always had a soft spot for the Resident Evil games series, complete with terrifying plots and enough gore and gameplay to keep anyone busy. This week Capcom®, a leadingworldwide developer and publisher of video games, confirmed that Resident Evil™ 6 is in full development and scheduled for release on the Xbox 360® and PlayStation®3 on November 20, 2012 with a Windows PC version to follow.
Blending zombies and survival horror, this latest instalment in the multi-million selling franchise, is reportedly the most ambitious and immersive title of the series to date. It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident (where the first game happened) and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will help save the world from the bioterrorist threat. After this some serious shit goes down that leaves the President infected and ready to chomp on the nearest staff member. Enter personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy who needs to now murderise his mate thereby killing the President. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member, Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left. Yup, this one is going to be well scary.
Resident Evil 6 sees series favourites Leon and Chris come together to face this unprecedented threat. They are joined with a host of new characters, each with their own unique perspective and involvement in the overall story.
