Remix Damian Yoko’s Triplefire Track – “Simunye” and Win $1400 in Prizes with MetaPop!

Local rising house producer/DJ, Damian Yoko‘s most recent Triplefire release “Simunye” has been selected for a massive international online competition. For those of you who don’t know, Yoko is one of SA’s most promising young house producers/DJ’s. Making waves with his “off the chart” Triplefire release, the kid is fast gaining local and international attention with his edgy production style. His natural and keen understanding for music along with a BA in sound production creates an interesting balance between self-expression and artistic rule.

Yoko’s debut release last year received praise from all corners including Lane 8, Paul Hazendonk, Ryan Sullivan, Kyle Watson, Darin Epsilon and more. The title track ‘Simunye’ featured the vocals of Stellenbosch singer Amy May Roux and is the track chosen for the MetaPop competition. The EP went on to be remixed by the likes of Triplefire label owner, Ryan Sullivan, Matthew Loots and SecondNature. Between the originals and remixes, Damian Yoko has reached 37 on Beatport’s Indie Dance/Nu Disco chart, 72 on Beatport’s Progressive House chart, 59 on the Release Promo Hype chart and 22 on the same platforms’ Deep House chart.
