One of the most popular mobile games of all time PUBG Mobile has taken the world by storm by adapting the battle royale genre and their already existing maps into a pocket-friendly experience on smartphones.
Now, the brand is taking the entire experience a step further by introducing a new, tiny map designed only for PUBG Mobile. The Nordic-inspired map is called Livik and it’s the very first map created only for the mobile version of the game.

Livik measures 2km x 2km and battles within the map support up to 40 players max. Battles also only last 15 minutes each – the idea was to create short gaming experiences for busy people who wanted the ability to play a quick match whenever they had a moment.
The initiative for this map is bringing more flexibility to those players who have tighter schedules and circumstances to accommodate for.

Despite Livik’s small scale, the map is packed with points of interest. The Nordic terrain includes new weapons, a volcano, hot spring, and waterfalls – which will reportedly change the way players approach the game. Speaking to The Verge, Producer Rick Li said the waterfalls around the map will provide unique interactions with players not available on other maps.
