There’s a new documentary being developed called Prison Fighters, which revolves around a program that has been instituted in a Thailand prison. In the somewhat questionable program, prisoners are able to fight in Muay Thai battles with other inmates in return for reduced sentences or in some cases their freedom. It’s very reminiscent of Mortal Kombat, except for the fact that nobody has special powers or finishes their fights with a fatality.

I’m not really sure that I agree with the whole concept prisoners fighting for their freedom, especially when the guy being followed by the documentary is in jail for stabbing someone in the neck (not sure he should be doing fighting or anything violent).

Either way, I’m really keen on checking this doccie out when it’s released in February.

Im a guy with a very particular view of life... im not quite sure what that view is just yet, but when I find out I'll be sure to let you know...
