Jeremy Loops, Matthew Mole, Sons of the East (Aus), Sean Koch & Diamond Thug Announced to Perform 1st December 2019 at Muizenberg Park

This year the festival will return to the beautiful lawns of Muizenberg Park and welcome the city’s music and food-loving festival-goers for a Sunday in the park with some of the country’s top musicians – modern folk hitmaker Jeremy Loops, indie-folk sensation Matthew Mole, Cape Town’s talented Sean Koch, and musos Diamond Thug and all the way from down under, Australia’s indie-folk band Sons of the East.

Parklife Festival has cemented itself as Cape Town’s ultimate live music and food festival and will once again host a one-day music, food and lifestyle festival. Festival-goers are welcome to bring blankets and camping chairs, and there will be a designated area for umbrellas.

Parklife: Music In The Park Festival is the perfect day out for the entire family and a relaxed way to kick off your Summer holidays in the Mother City!

Tickets are on sale now at R295 for Adults and R195 for U18 and available from https://breakout.howler.co.za/parklifecpt.

About Sons of the East:

Sons Of The East are an indie-folk band from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia.

Band mates Dan Wallage, Nic Johnston and Jack Rollins have already seen their music achieve 80 million streams and over 18 million YouTube views as their popularity continues to soar worldwide.

The band’s motley acoustic-electric sound has become a unique and charismatic trademark. Soulful, joyous and irresistible. With a huge year ahead Sons Of the East have decided to go bigger.

On May 10th the band released their third studio E.P Burn Right Through, featuring singles Nothing Comes Easy, Silver Lining and It Must Be Luck, along with a collection of new songs that further the band’s modern, indie-folk sound. Once again Sons Of The East have combined stirring melodies and fervent, direct lyricism to create a captivating EP, all the while maintaining the enduring classicism for which they have become known.

To coincide with the release of their new E.P the band kick off a massive tour starting with Australia in March and April before returning to the U.K and Europe in the spring of 2019 for their biggest and best tour yet. With their full five piece band, Sons Of The The East are taking their brilliant live show through 14 countries, playing over 40 venues and ten European festivals.

Check out their UK & Europe highlights for a taste of what’s to come:

Thank God for Sons Of The East… unshakeable calm and smooth tempos… harmonies woven tighter than DNA strands… dare I call it ‘Australia-cana’?” – Sam Jackson, AU Review

“What we like about this band is their Australian twist and contemporary take on the more traditional Folk music style… But ultimately what really makes this band shine is their stage presence (they are a must see live)” – Vinyl Garden

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
