Damn, and this week was going so well up until now. To be honest, if I had to peg Kim Jong Un as a supporter of any football team I could imagine he’d be pretty stoked with following PSG and their Qatar backed team of superstars, but I’d be wrong according to some news that has emerged from global news channels.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the North Korean dictator was a huge fan of the English Premier League and my favourite team, Manchester United in particular. The info was made public by Italian senator Antonio Razzi (pictured below) who said that Kim Jong Un had shared this detail with him in recent private conversations having this to say:
Kim is a big Manchester United fan it’s true. He never compares himself to heroes like Eric Cantona or Zlatan Ibrahimovich though – there is only Kim.
Following the emergence of North Korean wonderkid Han Jwang-song in the Italian second tier with Perugia, Kim also believes that it’s only a matter of time before North Korean players flood the Premiership.
He never misses an international tournament and has followed the sport for some time now, regularly being spotted at the San Siro whilst he was studying in Switzerland.
Damn… well that sucks. Guess I’m not the only one that recognises greatness in The Red Devils.
