Chee | Lesego Chez (Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa)
Hailing from the domestically mediocre suburbs of Silverton in Pretoria – Chee (Also part of the trap/halftime collective ‘It Hz’) is a belligerent nihilist, a product of the self-destruction we perpetuate as humans and the lasting flickers of your dying hope. He is also qualified in memeology and depressively joyous dance floor carnage. He will change your views on intercultural communication amongst Australians, the British and the diversity of wildlife in this beautiful continent we call home. He also believes in the Sasquatch and thinks all his friends are memes.
Completely engulfing, intense, intricate and dark, his sound can be described as visceral, schizophrenic bass music.
Chee has quickly become one of the most decorated and recognized dark producers in the South African bass music movement and in a short time frame has propelled himself to becoming one of South Africa’s revered Electronic music DJs and producer – already playing most major festivals in South Africa in 2015 alone..
Festivals Chee has played includes Oppikoppi, Grietfest, CTEMF, Rage, Science Frikshun, Truth, Fiction and many more. He has also had the honour to share stages with international Drum & Bass dons like Mefjus, DLR & DC Breaks & share the same lineup as Goldie & TroyBoi.
