New Event Launch: FLASH DIVISION

Flash Division

There’s a new crew in town… and its called… Flash Division !

None of us were born into the sounds of contemporary electronic music we know today, but we have all been part of the metamorphosis along the way to where this music is at present. Flash Division is a monthly night that celebrates the early sounds of our generation. This night is all about fun and good times, so check your critical thinking at the door. Guests are invited to dress up in their best 80’s 90’s versions and jump into this time machine with us.

Embracing this wild ride are our favourite local artists who will be sharing their very own journey’s into music fanaticalism. Expect the spectrum of Hip Hop, Disco, R&B, POP and a dash of early electronica; New Beat, Deep House, Acid House and Old school Electro, it will all depend on the pilot in command. Close your eyes, sing-a-long or reminisce to the loops you loved in the heyday.

The launch party is happening this Friday 22nd of July at The Black Bar (Cape Town Club) from 9pm. After taking over the Basement, we plan to take over the entire magnificent building, presenting a multiple dance-floor event and who know’s maybe one day we’ll take over the CTICC with the first dedicated dress up 80’s 90’s festival !

FLASH DIVISION is an open-story platform, so anyone who shares our vision is welcome to contribute, be it art, entertainment or promoting. Email flashdivisioncapetown@gmail.com and we’ll be in touch!

We’re gonna make it a night to remember. <3

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
