MK Elektro CASTING CALL

To all fanatics, lovers and purveyors of electronic music all things MK…

Mustard Post Production and MK are excited to announce the production of a brand new prime time documentary style series based on the electronic music scene in South Africa and abroad. And they are proud to present MK Elektro!
They will need lively, energetic and charismatic personalities to host the show on a weekly basis, and if you think you’ve got what it takes, read on…

To be considered as a host of the show, you need to be able to answer yes to as many of the following as possible:
1) Are you over 21, and allowed into clubs and entertainment venues?
2) Are you knowledgeable with the SA electronic music scene? Ie. Do you know the difference between Skrillex and David Guetta, and can you distinguish between drum and bass and electro house?
3) Do you live in Johannesburg OR Cape Town?
4) Can you understand Afrikaans?
5) Can you SPEAK Afrikaans? Or at least get by?
6) Can you think on your feet, come up with entertaining questions on the fly, and INTERACT WITH PEOPLE YOU’VE NEVER MET BEFORE?
7) Do you have a sense of humour?

If you feel you can answer yes to several of these, drop them an email along with a short audition video telling them who you are, or come in and drop it off at their offices in Greenside (unit 10 Greenside court, Gleneagles Road, Greenside). If you’re not technically equipped you can contact Jess to set up a suitable time and they’ll do the filming for you at their offices.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in creating what will be South Africa’s first television show specifically about cutting edge emerging electronic music. From underground warehouse techno to trance parties in the middle of nowhere, from drum and bass boat parties to commercial house and the iron-curtain dress codes of Sandton, there is NOWHERE we won’t go to find the newest basslines, the most ridiculous beats, the most “why God why?!” vocals, and the most messed up party stories from around the country.

So yeah, drop them a line…

Rumoured to have the blue-prints for Krang's TechnoDrome, stolen straight from Dimension X, he’s the type of guy who exudes so much coolness that he adds whole countries on Facebook at one time instead of just people. Always up for a party and a Tequila shot or two this is the guy who we always call first, both before and after a night out…
