Mix of the Day | Thrumcast 027 – Cody Meyer

Cape Town's Cody Meyer takes over the Thrumcast this week.

With Thrum Room’s return to the club scene in Cape Town after a slight hiatus, we also welcome the first podcast in a while by Cape Town-based Cody Meyer. The mix represents a smooth journey from the dub techno we so love and continues into the sound Cody is mostly known for.

Cody Meyer is no stranger to the Cape Town scene beginning his sonic journey in 2010. Being a South African he was deeply rooted in afro-house culture playing in townships, clubs as well as playing in Angola at Club Tjirinawa and Kalunga. His career took off with a residency at the frequented hot spot in Cape Town, Vice City. This allowed him to start his own very successful brand called Blueroom which hosts monthly events at Modular. He has played at all the top clubs Cape Town has to offer including Vice City, Modular and ERA to name a few.
