Everyone here at MyCityByNight was really amped when Mario Balotelli finally joined Twitter because we were hoping that he would carry on his crazy off-field antics within the confines of Twitter, making some inappropriate Joey Barton-esque comments and offending masses along the way. Unfortunately, since tweeting pictures of his dog, house and car his account has been rather boring, which is probably half the reason his response to the news that Usain Bolt didn’t really fancy him has been met with such fervor around the world.
Usain Bolt was in Rome earlier this week for the IAAF Diamond League and did an interview with Italian TV station TG1 where he apparently had a bit to say about Mario Balotelli who now plays for AC Milan (one of the big Italian teams, just in case you don’t follow footy):
‘Balotelli is a great football player, although perhaps a little too aggressive for my tastes. He never misses a penalty. I’ve met him a couple of times and to be honest I don’t like him very much.’
Obviously, Mario wasn’t too stoked about the quotes and hit out at Bolt on Twitter:
Mario later deleted the Tweet after Usain Bolt took to Twitter to smooth things over with the messages below (sent yesterday).
I was almost sad to see that none of the story was true. I’m going to have to wait a little bit longer for the first real Mario Balotelli Twitter outburst. *cries*
