Mango Groove is one of those South African groups that are steeped in history and make me smile whenever I see them perform. They remind of times when R1 could buy you the earth. For all of you that share similar memories and are not going to be off in the bush raving, you’ll be pleased to know that Mango Groove will be performing live at the Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden (Rhodes Avenue, Newlands, Cape Town) on New Year`s day.
I went to their last Kbosch concert and really enjoyed the walk down memory lane along with the rest of the capacity crowd that was in attendance. Expect plenty of Penny Whistles, dancing and Claire Johnston being awesome.
