Mother’s Day is around the corner and what could make for a more memorable experience than dining with the sharks in the celebrated Cargo Hold Restaurant, one of Durban’s most spectacular settings, offering the most unique sophisticated ambiance?

The Durban join will be toasting this special occasion with a number of appetizing starter options from which you can select from including that of Tempura Prawns ( served with Bean sprouts, cucumber, paw paw, soy and ginger); Marinated Grilled Calamari (Cucumber-yoghurt raita, cous cous salad, basil oil); Ostrich Carpaccio (Peppered Ostrich, herbed bouquet, shaved pecorino, truffle mayonnaise); Cream of Chicken and Taragon Soup (Crème Fraiche and Basil Pesto) or Greek Salad (a traditional Greek salad served Cargo Hold style.)

Delectable main course options are Roasted Chicken breast (filled with spinach and mozzarella, stir-fried vegetables, soy-pineapple glaze), Linefish (Simply grilled, spices, lemon, olive oil and served with French fries; Prawn National, (grilled and served with peri-peri and lemon butter sauces, Lamb Cutlets (French trimmed, ratatouille, creamed potato, pesto lamb jus), Beef Fillet (Beef medallions, new potatoes, feta, sun dried tomato and olive salsa, charred vegetables, balsamic dressing or our fabulous vegetarian offering that of Spinach and Feta Canneloni (featuring grilled vegetables, Ricotta, pesto cream sauce).

To end off this special moment in time, dessert doesn’t get any better than these options: Warm Toffee Apple Pudding, served with Grand Marnier Sabayon and Cinnamon Ice Cream; Baked Cheesecake together with Vanilla ice cream and berry coulis; or Decadent Chocolate Volcano – a superb chocolate torte, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, just perfect to end off any exceptional meal.
