Madonna 2012 South Africa Tour Dates

As soon as Madonna announced that she would be embarking on a World tour in 2012, speculation was rife that the Queen of Pop Music would also be visiting the lovely South Africa during the course of the year. These rumours became more concrete when a document outlining some of her other tour dates was leaked onto the internet, followed by mutterings that Madge wanted to visit South Africa to adopt another baby or donate “like a virgin” pens to local schools to combat aids (although admittedly none of these things were actually true).

Upon checking a Madonna 2012 Tour website it was confirmed that Madge would indeed be visiting the tip of Africa for two dates next year. Cape Town will welcome Madonna on December 15, 2012 with Jozi opening up it’s arms on December 17, 2012 for it’s own date. It’s important to note that these dates are still subject to changes as the venues have not yet been confirmed along with Madonna’s ability to stay injury free for the yearย  (not breaking her hip while busting an amazing dance move is paramount).

I think I’m going to go check it out, just to experience the legend… Somehow I do think that this one isnt going to be cheap though- much Like a virgin… touched for the very first time (I’m sorry).

After posting- we did a little bit more digging and found another statement from Big Concerts MD Attie van Wyk, who told Die Burger in an interview that the pop megastar would “definitely” not be coming to South Africa in 2012.

“All I can say is that she will definitely not be coming to South Africa in 2012,” said Van Wyk.

Hmm… maybe that means that she’ll be coming in January instead- still we wait for some more solid info from Madge’s camp so we can really start celebrating.
