I can’t say enough good things about Madame Zingara and the awesome Miracle Tour that has made its way back to Cape Town, where the story began. Every single night since opening has been fully booked with a night out at the Madame Zingara Theatre of dreams being more valuable than an ounce of gold and now I can confirm that the Madame will be extending its run in Cape Town for a few extra months.
David Green, CEO of the V&A Waterfront, where the traveling tent is based had this to say about the extended stay:
“The central purpose of the V&A Waterfront has always been to offer visitors a lifestyle experience, and a measure of our success in this regard was when the popular Madame Zingara chose to pitch their enchanting tent on our property. Not only has the colourful Theatre of Dreams added an exciting new entertainment dimension to our after-dark offering, it has also attracted new footfall to our property, while thoroughly entertaining our existing visitors. We are delighted that Madame Zingara has chosen to keep their tent firmly pegged at the V&A Waterfront this Winter.”
You really do need to go and check it out – it is an experience that starts from the moment you get there, feeling like you’ve walked into a gypsy wonderland able to snap a picture with Miss Guided, have your tarot cards read, your face painted and anything else that might help you feel more at home.
The show runs nightly from Tuesday to Sunday. Tickets range from R385 – R1, 250 p/p, depending on seating area and packages. For more information contact 0861 623 263 or visit
